Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 24, 2026
This policy explains what information Hollo collects, why, and what you can do about it. It covers this website (hollocube.com), the Hollo iPhone app and the Hollo cube. Hollo is developed by Douglas Nash. We'll update this page as Hollo grows.
The short version
- We collect only what Hollo needs to work.
- We don't sell your personal information.
- We don't use advertising trackers on this website.
- You can ask us to delete your information at any time by emailing support@hollocube.com.
Email sign-up on this website
If you sign up to be notified, we store your email address and the date you signed up. We use it only to email you news about Hollo, such as its release. We keep it until you ask us to remove it. To be removed, email support@hollocube.com.
The form uses Cloudflare Turnstile to check that you're a person, not a bot. Turnstile is run by Cloudflare under Cloudflare's privacy policy.
Website hosting
This website is hosted on Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes technical information, such as your IP address and browser type, to deliver the site and protect it from abuse.
Setting up your cube: Bluetooth and Wi-Fi
The app uses Bluetooth to find your cube nearby and send it your Wi-Fi network name and password. The cube stores these so it can connect to the internet. The app asks for Bluetooth permission so it can do this.
The microphone and the AI assistant
The cube has a microphone so you can control it by voice. When you talk to the Hollo assistant, the audio of your request is sent through our server to the Grok API, run by xAI, to understand it and create a reply. xAI handles that audio under xAI's privacy policy.
The assistant keeps the context of your conversation so it can follow along.
Long-distance pairs: messages and photos
When you pair two cubes and send messages, photos or voice notes, they travel through our server, which runs on Cloudflare, to reach the other cube. We store them only as long as needed to deliver them and to make the feature work.
The same applies to photos you send to your own cube for photo mode.
Your account
The app may ask you to create an account so your cube and pairings work. We use account information only to run Hollo.
Payments
Purchases in the app, such as a Hollo Plus subscription or cosmetics, are handled by Apple. We don't see your card details. Accessory purchases from our store are handled by Stripe, under Stripe's privacy policy.
Who we share information with
We share information only with the services that run Hollo:
- Cloudflare, for hosting the website and our server, and for message relay and storage
- xAI, for the AI assistant (the Grok API)
- Apple, for the App Store and in-app purchases
- Stripe, for accessory payments
We may also share information if the law requires it.
Deleting your information
To see or delete the information we hold about you, email support@hollocube.com from the address you used, and we'll take care of it.
Children
Hollo isn't directed to children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from them. If you think a child has given us information, email support@hollocube.com and we'll delete it.
Changes
We'll post any changes on this page and update the date at the top.
